Budapest: A Brief Guide to the City

 

Budapest is a unique, fascinating and amazing city with an ancient history, culture and traditions where the life force pulsates in every corner. Whether it's morning, afternoon or evening, the tourists admires the city Budapest. The picture of the city opens your eyes that will remain forever in the memory. The city has a special place in the life of the country being not only a political but also the largest industrial and commercial center. It is the main city of the Roman province. In the Middle Ages, Hungarian kingdom capital was named as “Buda”.

The capital of Hungary is exceptionally rich in architectural monuments. There are dozens of artistic, historical, ethnographic museums, exhibition halls and galleries. It has a beautiful architectural monuments of 18th and 19th centuries which includes The Gothic cathedral of King Matthias, University Church, the National Museum and many others.

There are theaters and Operas lying at the center of capital between Buda and Pest Margaret Island. Budapest has glorified bath with medicinal water. 'Gellert' is one of the most famous pool of Budapest which is the source of thermal water that was built since ancient times.

 

Capital City:

Budapest city center radiates charm of the old imperial capital. It is the home of Habsburg era that shapes the face of the city and create a smart-rigorous style. Here originates Vaci Street, the first pedestrian street of Budapest dazzling with countless signs with the name of famous fashion designers, jewelers and restaurateurs. Stroll to Duna Korzo where in the evening, you can enjoy views of the illuminated bridges and panorama of Buda.

 

City Park:

City Park is not only an entertainment place but also a cultural center. In the central part of the park on the Heroes Square, there is a Millennium Monument which has a bronze statue that reflects the whole history of the country from the leader Arpad to the leader of Hungarian tribes who came to the territory of present Hungary at the end of the ninth century.

To visit this beautiful place, tourists usually hire a car so that they can travel easily along with the family. For this, you can visit the site in order to rent a car and move in the city. There are many other attractions here like the Museum of Fine Arts with a rich collection of European painting of 18th and 19th centuries. The pride of the museum are paintings by El Greco and Goya. There are other masterpieces like Leonardo da Vinci, Dürer, Raphael and Correggio. Many exhibitions are dedicated to the ancient Egyptian and ancient eras.

 

Danube:

Danube, the wonderful sights of Budapest has most interesting and impressive buildings of the capital close to the river hills such as The Parliament, Academy of Sciences, Vintage and Modern spas pools, Fishermen's Bastion, Matthias Church and the Citadel on Gellert Hill.

Thanks to the Danube and beautiful bridges across it. Budapest has taken its right place among the most beautiful cities in the world.
